We all know Miami very well. Even if you haven’t been there yet, I’m sure you know what to expect. But I bet you don’t know that there’s a place in Miami that would make you feel like you’re on an exotic island!

A couple of months ago I was looking for a place to hide from autumn and pretend that it’s still summer for a few days mid October. As Florida always has great weather I started looking for hotels in Miami.

I was already familiar with the Miami summer vibes, the shopping streets, the cute terraces close to the beach, but out of pure luck I discovered this place that had nothing to do with anything that I knew about Miami.

I stayed at The Palms Hotel & Spa, a place that looks like a resort somewhere tropical.

I booked a double room with pool and ocean view so I could enjoy it as much as I can, even though I didn’t really spend that much time in the room. I went out to walk around Miami, mainly because I like walking and shopping, but I came back for lunch here. They have the nicest restaurant terrace where you can sit and enjoy your food while being surrounded by bamboo trees and palm trees.

This is one of the best vacations and definitely one of the most pleasant surprises ever! Besides the lovely pool with tiki cabanas, the nice exotic restaurant, the lovely beach, they do have a wonderful lawn with a white gazebo for those who want to have a special wedding in a private resort.

I fell in love with this oasis in the middle of Miami where everything is styled to perfection to make you feel like you’re living in our own little paradise of pastel colors and tropical setting.
