I'm going to start this article with the most important question: How many of you know where Bermuda is? Some of you may not know that Bermuda is only 2 hours away from New York. Impressed? Good. Let me tell you some more. It has amazing turquoise water and pink sand beaches. Bla bla.. forget the touristy stuff! Let's talk about that feeling you get when you arrive there. After you land there and you feel that nice weather, even in winter, and the peace and serenity in the air, you won't want to leave. I stayed in Bermuda for 2 months and those were the most relaxing 2 months of my life! I got to clear my mind and get to work in my own natural rhythm. The hotels are a little bit too expensive so I chose to rent an apartment. First of all don't worry for not being in the capital of Bermuda, Hamilton. Bermuda has only 21 squared miles so no matter where you are, you're still close to everything! 🙂 Here's a tip: The best way to get around is by scooter. It's cheap, the distances are small and the traffic is practically inexistent. Oh and there is no Uber in Bermuda and only a few taxis . If you do follow my advice and visit Bermuda, beside the Crystal Caves that everybody is going to tell you about, go and explore! Small beaches, Horseshoe Bay Beach, climb the rock at the Horseshoe Bay Beach, walk around Spittal Pond, St. George's town which is a jewel! In St. George's you'll see a lot of bright colored houses, the Town Hall and maybe some small parades. If you're going to Bermuda somtime between May and September, go to Hamilton on Wednesdays starting 7 pm for Harbour nights! It's the main attraction, a celebration on Front street with food, concerts, parades, local craftsmen and artisans , cultural expositions. If you're still not convinced take a look at the pictures below to experience a little bit of Bermuda's beauty or follow me on Instagram for even more pictures.
