If you know me at all you know I love Bangkok. I visited Bangkok for the first time 2 years ago and it surpassed all of my expectations. Bangkok was the beginning of my travel blogger life, so in order to celebrate these past 2 years I have decided to go back to Bangkok.
Bangkok is the city that never sleeps and never disappoints. It had amazing food, a lot of things to do, beautiful temples and floating markets to visit and most important best rooftop bars IN THE WORLD!
I decided to stay at 137 Pillars Suites and Residences Bangkok via Small Luxury Hotels. The reason I chose this hotel was because it seemed to have a wonderful rooftop infinity pool and it was located in the exact area I stayed 2 years before, which was my absolute favorite: Sukhumvit Soi 39.
I had an idea of what this hotel would be before actually getting there, but in all honestly I would have never expected to be so much more. 137 Pillars Bangkok balances perfectly the idea of a luxury hotel with the idea of a residence. It is very hard to define it. They have residences, as well as “hotel rooms" – which, let me tell you, completely revolutionize the idea of a hotel room.
I have stayed in one of their beautiful suites and the services they offered were above any expectation. I’ll start with the most amazing service – they offered a butler. Amazed yet? Well, there’s way more. each suite had a cell phone with unlimited local and international calls and unlimited data.
My favorite thing was the huge round bath tub where you can lounge while watching TV. The satellite TV in the bathroom. This was one of the biggest, most luxurious bathrooms I’ve ever seen.
Room service came twice a day and the second time – getting the room ready for you to sleep – they also left some home made cakes or cookies.
During the day I chose not to go out much, but to spend my day at one of their amazing infinity pools. The rooftop infinity pools where only suite guests have access was my favorite. It was much more intimate and that’s where I witness the most beautiful sunsets. They also had an infinity pool at the same level as their breakfast restaurant and the terrace bar which had a glass hole from where you could see all the way to the ground floor, feeling like you’re floating on air. It was a bit scary at first, but once you let go of the fear and embrace the feeling of freedom and flying, it is quite and experience.
Once of their interesting offers was that by booking directly with them – through their site or by phone – you get flexible check in and check out hours complimentary. So you can just let them know you’ll arrive earlier or that your flight is late at night on you last day and they’ll make sure not to keep you waiting for you room. Pretty awesome, right?
Needless to say 137 Pillars Bangkok is a place I know for sure I will return to sometime in the future. If have already been there or if you’d like to know more – leave your thought on the comment box below!
